TURN is a general term for art projects that create as an expression the interaction of diverse people who meet different backgrounds and customs, such as the presence or absence of disabilities, generation, gender, nationality, and living environment. After starting in 2015 as one of the leading projects in Tokyo that leads the cultural program of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, it has been implemented as the Tokyo 2020 Official Cultural Olympiad since 2017.

So far, we have expanded our activities not only in Japan but also in 6 countries (Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador, Cuba and Poland). We are also preparing to expand in Taiwan and Austria.

Tokyo University of the Arts has been planning and implementing TURN's overseas expansion since 2018.
